MCM x Stefan Strumbel Debut at Quartier 206 in Berlin-Mitte, Germany
The brand new collaboration with pop-artist Stefan Strumbel is in store now, and so last week MCM hosted a very special event in Berlin-Mitte to celebrate this momentous new project. Finding a location for such an event is no easy feat, but since this collection is set to adorn the backs and arms of many hip kids around the world, they decided it simply had to have it in Berlin-Mitte, one of the hippest areas in the world at the moment. And once in Mitte, there is really only one place: Quartier206, an intimate yet edgy department store / concept store selling some of the most luxurious brands all curated to extremely high-standards.
Quartier206 is located on Friedrichstrasse, which is one of the most legendary streets in the whole of Berlin, combining the tradition of the ‘Golden Twenties’ with the architecture of Berlin beyond 1989. In the ’20s, the 3.5 km long street was the place to be with cafes, theatres and Vaudevilles, such as the famous Wintergarten. Now Friedrichstrasse 71 boasts an extravagant Art Deco style and is home to the boutiques of countless top designers - including MCM.
The private party was very exclusive, with just over 150 people invited to discover the new collection while chatting, sipping on some champagne and listening to great tunes played by DJ Oliver Kann.
Some MCM models were walking around the store wearing items from the collection.
Most of us were big fans of MCM (and I mean who isn't, really) and were even dressed-to-impressed, carrying their own pieces
Some even had already purchased items from the Strumbel collaboration, which is awesome and also why we love our MCM friends!

We received a special guest visit from German singer Lary Poppins, a newcomer in the music industry who just launched her first Album called "FutureDeutscheWelle“. She was a VIP guest to Berlin Fashion Week and drove street style pohotographers crazy with her extravagant style. She is due to go on tour with famous German Pop band "Fantastischen Vier“ - 2015 is set to be Lary's year!
