Stambecco Tiramisu a delicately sweet taste of Tiramisu
Biggar & Leith, purveyors of fine wines and spirits, has debuted a new liqueur designed to imitate the flavours of everyone's favourite sweet treat.
Biggar & Leith, a fine wine and spirits company, debuted Stambecco Amaro, a maraschino cherry-flavored variation on the traditional digestif, in 2020, delighting both home and professional mixologists. Stambecco (named after the ibex that live in the nearby mountains) crafted its amaro from local marasca cherries from near Turin as well as a selection of botanicals including rhubarb, gentian root, lemon, cinchona (the tree from which quinine comes), yarrow, and saffron from its home in the Italian Alps near Piedmont. Stambecco's stunningly graphic bottles, designed to be enjoyed plain, over ice, or blended into a variety of refined and amusing cocktails, now grace the shelves of numerous bars and cocktail aficionados' homes.
Now, Biggar & Leith offers a second Stambecco—a tiramisu-flavoured liqueur that may be enjoyed neat or mixed into drinks. Beppe Ronco and Denis Muni, two skilled distillers from the Torino distillati in Piedmont, are responsible for creating Stambecco Tiramisu. Delicious either over ice or shaken with espresso and Kahlua to make a delectable espresso martini or Irish coffee, the liqueur conjures the flavours of everyone's favourite dessert with its mascarpone, amaretti cookies, cocoa, and coffee. Serve it over ice at the end of meals from now until the end of summer, and then warm up with it in the fall and winter when the weather shifts.
