As our travel adventures continue, Paula and I have seen some of the most fantastic hotel and villas that this world has to offer, from exotic mansions with private pools with private to apartment rent on the beach with our views and location. Now we are back in Europe and are prepared to get back to work we found ourselves at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Berlin.

Designed by Spanish architect José Rafael Moneo and Swiss interior designer Hannes Wettstein, Grand Hyatt Berlin is a modern luxury hotel located in Potsdamer Platz that features powerful architecture and innovative design. The 342 rooms are decorated in a kind of Japan-meets-Bauhaus style, with Feng Shui layouts, contemporary art, and cherrywood furnishings matched to mod cons like Bang & Olufsen televisions and MP3 docks. The standard rooms are massive side for Berlin, and offer spacious bathrooms and decent views (Potsdamer Platz or Tiergarten); you’ll have to book a larger room for a marble spa tub though.

Some of the accommodations also include a separate bedroom, living room featuring workspace as well as a luxurious bathroom with whirlpool tub and steam baths.

The Vox bar With more than 240 different sorts of whisky, Vox Bar has one of the largest selections of whisky in Germany and is the ideal starting point to discover Berlin’s nightlife because of its central location. The dark parquet flooring and the elegant lounge seating of Vox Bar create a warm atmosphere, which invites to enjoy the after-work hours.
